I studied painting and drawing at the Art School in Bucharest. My interest in all the forms of art has a root in that period of my life. I also love music, astrology, folklore and traditions, ancient history and anthropology. My favourite themes in the art of glass engraving are astrology, traditional symbols of the popular costumes from different regions of my country, and pre-roman history in Dacia. The scenes from Column of Trajan and the sculptures of dacians from Rome and Vatican, are a challenging source of inspiration for me. Everyday I discover and learn more and more about this extraordinary art of glass engraving and I feel the glass is a gift from heaven.
