Trained as a gold and silver engraver with a top Hatton Garden, London firm during the early 1950s. Peter started engraving after seeing an exhibition at Castle Howard. He works mainly on exhibition pieces on cased glass. Peter won the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers Award in 1995, picked up First prize and several commendations by the Goldsmith Hall and Goldsmith Craftmanship and Design award for his cameo cutting skills. Peter now has a successful glass engraving and giftware business in Leeds.
Among his prestigious clients are Rolls Royce, Rugby League and Yorkshire Television. Peter also engraved the first piece of glass accepted at 10 Downing Street. Peters work has featured in several major exhibitions throughout the country.
