The Guild provides an insight into contemporary Glass Engraving. It aims to promote the highest standards of glass engraving.The website contains techniques, a gallery of members engraved glass, where to see it and where to learn to engrave.

Aileen Asher

Born & brought up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Aileen learned Sandblasting techniques in Crieff from Stuart Strathearn & was taught the Art of Hand Engraving Glass by the late Artist Andrew Lawson Johnston in Strathdon from 1982 – 1990. Aileen lives in Moray & has restarted Glass Engraving creating new designs & has discovered a new talent in watercolour painting. You can find her on facebook under Ailash Designs. She is Master Engraver to The Lonach Highland & Friendly Society & Personal Engraver to Avva Gin.

Aileen became a Craft Member with The Guild of Glass Engravers in May, 2009.
