Apart from another workday, which unfortunately was very poorly attended, we had an excellent trip to Cambridge. This was primarily to visit Kettle’s Yard, which we arrived in time to do in the morning. It was a real bonus that Juliet Johnson was able to come with us. Apart from being able to see several pieces of David Peace’s glass on display, she had herself known the original founders – the Ede family - even working as a student there for holiday jobs when the family went on holiday. She very much enjoyed a re-visit, and was able to give us a lot of background information – and the stewards on duty were also delighted to talk to her. A lovely friendly atmosphere. The visit was followed by an excellent lunch hosted by Geoff and It was a most enjoyable and interesting day.
A future trip to Guildford Cathedral to see the engraved glass windows there is being planned which could include a interested in going to Guildford, or for more information generally, please contact Suzanne Osborn.
Visitors from other branches are most welcome.
Please contact Suzanne for information about future meetings.
